If you’re a fan of animated movies and cartoons, then you know who Shrek is. Shrek is a character from the popular movie series, “The Shrek Movie.” There are several different characters in the series, but this article focuses on the list of Shrek characters.


Shrek is a character in the animated comedy film, Shrek, and its sequels. He is voiced by Mike Myers.
Shrek is a big, green ogre who owes his life to an ogre shepherd, Farquaad. As punishment for not fulfilling his feudal obligations to the king, Shrek is put into a swamp where he must retrieve three items from three different villages: Fiona’s voice, Donkey’s strength, and Princess Fiona’s heart. He eventually meets up with Fiona and together they rescue Donkey and Princess Fiona from the castle. They return to Farquaad, but Shrek gets revenge by dumping him into the swamp full of crocodiles.


Donkey is a supporting character in the 2004 DreamWorks animated feature film, Shrek. He is voiced by Eddie Murphy and first appears as an uninvited guest at the wedding of Fiona and Shrek. Donkey is quickly revealed to be a mischievous, clumsy, but lovable dim-witted creature who is always looking for a good time.

Donkey helps Shrek escape from the wedding reception and together they set out on an adventuresome journey. Along the way Donkey befriends various creatures including a Cockatoo, a Frog, and a Gremlin. Donkey also has several comedic moments with Fiona such as when he mistakes her for a tree and tries to kiss her butt.

Donkey makes his final appearance in the 2010 sequel, Shrek 2, where he helps Fiona rescue Prince Charming from an ogre prison. In both films Donkey plays an important role in helping Shrek achieve his goals.

Donkey is also featured in several video games based on the films including Super Smash Bros., Mario Party 8, and Toy Story 3: The Video Game.

Princess Fiona

Fiona is the daughter of King Harold and Queen Lillian in the 1994 animated feature film, Shrek. Fiona was abducted by a dragon and taken to ogre land, where she became the princess of ogreland. Fiona falls in love with Shrek, but he is forced to marry Princess Fiona’sevil stepsister, Fiona’s Fairy Godmother. They have one son together, Prince Charming.

Puss In Boots

Puss in Boots is a character in the 2009 live-action Dreamwork film, Shrek. He is voiced by Antonio Banderas, and designed by John Alvin.
Puss in Boots is a cowardly, conniving cat who was once a nobleman’s pet but ran away when his master was killed. He comes to Shrek’s swamp to seek revenge on the king and princess for what they did to him.
In the 2010 sequel, Puss In Boots: The Great Adventure, Puss In Boots teams up with Shrek and Fiona to save Princess Fiona’s father from the Witch of the Woods.

King Uther Pendragon passed away while Arthur was still a young boy. Arthur’s stepfather, Leodegrance, became his new guardian. Arthur learned how to be a responsible ruler from Leodegrance and also developed great skills in swordfighting and horsemanship.

The Big Bad Wolf

The Big Bad Wolf is the main antagonist of the Shrek films. He is a mean, diabolical wolf with a heavy sense of humor. He is voiced by Charles Dance in all three films. In the first film, he kidnaps Fiona to get revenge on Shrek for humiliating him years earlier. In the second film, he teams up with Fiona’s father, Lord Farquaad, to take over Fairy Tale Land. In the third film, he kidnaps Fiona again to take her to his lair in the forest. He is eventually defeated and sent back to his own world.

Three Little Pigs

The three little pigs went into the woods to build their house. They found sticks, mud, and straw to build with. The first little pig built his house out of sticks and mud. The second little pig built his house out of straw. The third little pig built his house out of bricks.


The story of Pinocchio is about a wooden puppet who becomes a real boy when he is given the wish of becoming real.

The puppet master who made Pinocchio is very angry when he finds out that the puppet has become a boy. He decides to make Pinocchio into a real boy again, but this time he wants to make him really obedient. So the puppet master makes Pinocchio spend his days working on a farm and his nights in a little wooden house.

Three Blind Mice

The three blind mice were all trying to find a way out. They all explored every nook and cranny, but they couldn’t find an exit. They were getting very tired and hungry.

Suddenly, one of the mice found an opening. He squeezed through and closed the door behind him. The other two mice followed suit. They were finally free!


Dronkeys are a race of small, winged humanoids that live in the clouds. They are very curious and adventurous creatures, and are always up for a new adventure. Dronkeys enjoy spending their time flying around, exploring new places, and meeting new people.

Farkle, Fergus, and Felicia

Farkle is a green ogre who is the best friend of Fiona, the ogre princess. He is always up for a good time, and loves to dance and drink. Fergus is a Scottish redhead who works as an stable hand at Fiona’s castle. He is kind and gentle, but can be fierce when needed. Felicia is a feisty cat who lives in a tree above Fiona’s castle. She helps Farkle and Fergus with their Adventures by giving them advice and warning them of danger.

Queen Lillian

Queen Lillian is the absolute ruler of Far Far Away and its people. She is also the mother of Fiona, the Princess of the Kingdom. Queen Lillian is a very strict and demanding monarch, but she has a heart of gold. She is also very protective of her daughter and will do anything to keep her safe.

King Harold

King Harold is the main antagonist of the 2004 DreamWorks Animation film, Shrek. He is a jingoistic and power-hungry monarch who schemes to seize control of Princess Fiona’s kingdom by marrying her off to another king.


Doris is a minor character in the 2001 DreamWorks animated film, Shrek. She is the owner of The Fairest One Hundred, an annual beauty pageant that takes place in Far Far Away. Doris is a vain and shallow woman who places more importance on her looks than her talent.

Snow White

Snow White is a fictional character who appears in the fairy tale Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She is the queen of the seven dwarfs and is described as beautiful, sweet, and gentle. Along with her six male companions, she lives in a forest inside a golden palace.
